AlterIWNet 1.3.37a Update
.
Changes Include - Changable cg_fov (default is set to 80 in the update), the resurgence map pack and most importantly "connect IP" feature to connect with your friends and make partys

You have more than an option
.
1. Auto Updater, Download the 1.3.37a client, run iw4mp.exe to start the auto updater and let it download the map packs and other needed files. http://www.multiupload.com/D9TT5W10RY

2. Manual Update, Probably faster than the Auto Update this requires for you to actually do stuff.
First of all Download The 1.3.37a client but don't run iw4mp.exe, download this pdf and follow all of what it says. Download the linked files and put them where it tells you to.

To connect to your friend you have to alt-tab to the desktop where the console is and type connect IP (where IP is your friend's IP)

On the day 10 of july AlterIWNet will release a beta of the new version.
I will come back from vacation the 11th of july.
On that day i will make a tutorial.

Get Working MultiPlayer For MW2 with AlterIWnet - the alternative to IWnet

1a.Download the following files.

1b.If you prefer download this "all-in-one" torrent, it contains full zone/english folder for people who have a game in different language so its 6gb.

2.Extract the Client files to your MW2 folder and allow the replacement of all files then place the .ff files from the DLC in zone/english folder.
-
3.Open AlterIWnet_Configure.exe and type the name you would like to have in-game then press save and close the program.
-
4.From now on to play you just have to run the iw4mp.exe and join games as you would normally.

THIS DOES NOT NEED ANY PATCH, ONLY THE FILES PROVIDED ARE NEEDED
STEAM ISN'T NEEDED, NEITHER IS GARENA

Some Good News
- Next release will have: better anti cheat system, friends network and spec ops invites
(also some tweaks such as changable FOV)
- Final release will also have *drumroll* Ingame UI and Chat! (and real hack protection)

Getting AlterIWnet to work with a different game language
Make sure you saved the Client and the DLC Maps
-
1. Go to your game folder then rename the folder zone/your language to zone/english
-
2. In the directory where you have installed Mw2 open the file called localization.txt, open it with notepad and Change the first line from "your language" to "english" (no quotes)

Now simply re-extract and configure the Client and DLC maps as said in previous tutorial.
